Bradenton is a boater’s dream as it has plentiful water access, both fresh and salt. Discover Robinson Preserve, DeSoto National Memorial Park, the Cortez fishing village and the Manatee Village Historical Park. You will find a collection of restored, historic buildings from Manatee County’s pioneer past. The historical park includes a courthouse, one-room schoolhouse, farmhouse, general store, boat shop, steam engine and a Florida cowboy bunkhouse.
Bradenton’s Riverwalk is a local favorite as well. With a 1.5-mile-long public green space nestled along the Manatee River there is a little something for everyone. The Riverwalk includes playgrounds, splash pad, a lawn for picnics, a day-dock for boaters, a skatepark, botanical walk, sand volleyball courts and a 400 seat amphitheater. In addition to all of that, Bradenton is host restaurants, shops, and art galleries.
